Live at Yorks brings the best of Birmingham's singer songwriters.
This is Cotter. A singer-songwriter focusing on truth in songwriting and the emotion within the human psyche.
Having performed musically for a number of years within bands and other musical endeavors, this is a new solo project that began late last year when a guitar, piano and vocals came together to produce the first sounds of a new direction. From spending many years on stage when young, this was a break of habit and led to the self released, two track EP toward the end of last year.
2017 is looking to be one of incredible growth, with studio time undertaken and further releases being prepped. These songs are meant to be heard and meant to be embraced.
An Independent Acoustic Singer-songwriter with a folk, rock and soul inspired sound. As a solo musician, Jessie is equipped with pedal board and passion, enhancing her performance and live sound and merging her unique falsetto and gravel vocal tones.
Currently based in Birmingham, songwriter Jessie plays gigs, produces and continues to write about redemption and the highs and lows of what life can bring, emphasising the joy that comes in the morning, even from the nights of sorrow, through her beautifully lyrical songwriting style, complemented by the stylistic, rock influenced guitar playing. Living in many different places, gone through bereavement, and having a faith that influences all that she writes, Jessie has a deep 'bluesy' soul vibe, surprising to see at such an early point in her career.
Having released her debut Live EP -' Yours' (available on all platforms now), and using a loop pedal to layer sounds on top of each other in front of an intimate audience- the whole sound is designed to make you feel as if you're in the same room, simply listening in and being attentive to nothing more than the music.
Her upcoming EP- 'Home' will be released this coming June, taking a more studio based approach, adding to her growing repertoire of musical maturity.
