Children of men- film screening, discussion and iftar

19:00 - 22:30

 Facebook event page
Unit 4, Minerva Works, 158 Fazeley Street, B5 5RT Birmingham, United Kingdom
As a part of the Refugee Week Festival we present the film screening with the discussion and iftar in partnership with Migrant Voice Birmingham Network

Children of Men takes an unconventional approach to the modern action film, using a documentary, newsreel style. The film «makes a potent case against the anti-immigrant sentiment» popular in modern societies like the United Kingdom and the United States, critics giving it 5 stars describing the film as «a complex meditation on the politics of today»

Following the film there will be an discussion with refugees chaired by Salman Mirza from Migrant Voice where we will also be having iftar with our Muslim brothers and sisters
