Our alternative messtival returns 10years after the opening of The Edge, with a cheeky Balkan twist.

THE PROGRAMME
FRIDAY:
10:30am Landing Brunch — PAYF
A chance to meet the festival artists from Birmingham, Norway, Bulgaria, Prague, Japan, Portugal and Wales.

2pm Birmingham vs The World — PAYF
Artists talks from Darryl Georgiou and Friction Arts about working home and abroad, building international networks and Birmingham's arts scene.

8pm Fabarray — £5
Deep and disturbing performance night hosted by Barry Bling, Mr Velvet & the Orchestra of Chaos. Featuring performances from Orchestrer or Not, Albert Smith, Alisha Kadir, Dr David Ethics, Pen Jones and The DIVA.

SATURDAY:
12pm Full-On Family Fun Day — PAYF
Arts activities for all ages including; Japanese paper doll making with Atsuko Kamura, Improvised Songwriting Shenanigans with Ben Jones, interactive shadow room from Paul Gittins, self portraiture with Sofie Klemetzen, pizza making with Albert Smith and morrrreeee.

8pm Music from the Four Corners — £7
Kamura Obsura; Atsuko Kamura, Natalie Mason and Robert Storey deliver something wild, punky and mystical with an anti-nuclear political message.
Salamura; Adem Murat 'titman' Yilman, Pablo Wolf Sponge and Kostas Tolikas visit us from Czech Republic with hypnotic party sounds and incredible rhythms.
Ricardo Rocha and Sam Fox; exploring sounds from Wales and Portugal, beautiful melodies and powerful performance.

SUNDAY:
10:30am Subculture Safari — PAYF
A (mis)guided tour of the city through new eyes and opportunity to visit the Birmingham Sunday Bootsale — get it before it's gone.

3pm Bulgarian Movies
2 hours of massively depressing/strangely uplifting shorts from our East European partners at Novakultura.

7pm Dying on my Feet — £5
Protege of legendary Fool, Jonathan Kay and Liverpool-based artist, Joanne Tremarco is treating us to the Birmingham premiere of her new improvised show examining our attitudes to the Grim Reaper.

9pm Closing Jam — PAYF
Featuring the Shanty Town Collective, DJs Piotrek Sliwinski, Tendayi Chikara and 301.9, VJing from Tommy Xiaoji and impromtu jams from all of the festival artists.
