2017 marks the 70 year anniversary of the partition of Inida, an event which killed and displaced many and where in particular women were subjgated to extreme violence.

Join us to watch Khamosh Pani (tranlsated as Silent Water). A film about partition and gender.

Arrive promtly as if there is time at the end we hope to have a useful dicussion on colonial legacies and the relationship between colonial and south asian patriarchy.

Some snacks and drinks provided.
