Revelling in the release of his second album for Cold Spring, and building on a year supporting the likes of Jarboe, Damo Suzuki, Bong, White Hills, and Psychic TV, we are delighted to bring Leicester's mighty Colossloth to Centrala for his first Birmingham show in quite a while. Expect intense occult-o-tronics and percussive noise assaults.
I'm also pleased to welcome back to the stage Opium Lord's Adam Beckley in his new guise Clear Degrade. His soundscape experiments were a massive influence on me so I'm glad he's put fresh batteries in the walkmen to show off his tapeloop travelogues.
We also have the debut performance of Voyd. Bringing ambient experimental electronic music — an assemblage of three individuals operate the controls of modular synthesisers, vintage analogue gear, guitars and an array of effects to sculpt auditory landscapes, worlds from waveforms in the pursuit of gesamtkunstwerk. Melody and discord sit side by side in this sensory journey to the depths of the voyd.
Steckdose will be opening. The usual collection of sounds loosely and vaguely described as architextural ambisonics.
Free in, although a (voluntary) donation of £5 to cover the bands' expenses would be very much appreciated.
