A workshop to help you open up your creative soul and find a voice with paint in sketchbooks and on paper. This would be ideal if you have never painted before or you have plenty of art experience but suffer creative block and don't know where to start.
It's also a great way to learn to get into the zone — almost like meditation — and out of the chatter in your head!
A relaxed and introspective day to fire up your creative mojo.
You will need to bring acrylic paints in several colours (if you need to use Clare's paint there will be a fee of an extra £10 payable in cash on the day), an A4 heavy weight paper sketchbook with no ring binding — this is because we will work across the page. (Seawhite booksare good — all these materials available at CASS ART ), a couple of paintbrushes, a 2" decorators brush, some gesso, some cartridge paper A3 size — maybe three sheets, a pot of PVA or a large Pritt type stick If you have some acrylic ink and oil pastels they would also be useful. Also bring a small (A5?) notebook and pen. A magazine or other image with a large picture of a landscape that appeals to you. Please bring an apron too.
Age: 16 plus
Please arrive 10 mins early to set up. There is some onsite parking and in the roads around — leave yourself plenty of time for this.
Tea and coffee and biscuits throughout the day are free.
There is a good value onsite cafe or you can bring a packed lunch.
