Want to know more about authentic Zen practice?
Come and find out more about Zen Buddhism from Zenways teacher Mark Kuren Westmoquette.
The session will include discussions about mindfulness and Zen and how it can help us live better in our modern lives. There will also be movement practices designed to help us find grounding and stability in the changeable spring season, meditation (zazen), and a chance for a 1-to-1 chat with Mark to discuss your own personal practice and any questions.
Mark Kuren Westmoquette has been practising Zen under the guidance of Daizan Roshi since 2007, and has been teaching yoga and mindfulness since 2010. Until 2013 Mark was a scientist doing research in astronomy, but decided to give up his day job to focus on teaching and practising. He now teaches full-time and runs some of the Zenways teacher training programmes. In 2015 Mark went on a pilgrimage walk through the country (from Dorset to Lancashire) with no money, relying on the generosity of strangers for food & shelter, and in 2016 he received authorisation to teach Zen.
