Dudley Kingswinford Running Club have been training people to run for the past 20+ years through our highly popular and successful ‘zero to 5k in 10 weeks’ programme. We are proud to have trained somewhere in the region of 2000 people to run. On average around 80 to 100 complete the programme each year so you will be in good company. Many of those who have completed the course have joined the club and will be on hand to support and encourage you all the way.

Registration for the programme is on Thursday 12th April 2018 at 7.00pm. At the Dudley Kingswinford Rugby Club, Swindon Road, Wall Heath, Kingswinford, DY6 0AW. Why not come down for an informal chat and to learn more. It really is possible, and we are a friendly bunch too.

The course then starts on Tuesday 17th April 2018 and you will run Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm. We will start you off with a gentle run walk programme and gradually increase running time and you will be amazed at your progress as you eventually run 5k/3.1 miles without stopping. The course then ends with you participating in the Gavin Tipper 5K on Thursday 21st June 2018.

Our 2018 programme is open to men and women aged 16+ and is £35 per person. It includes coaching and support from experienced runners, a running technical t-shirt, free entry into the ‘DK Gavin Tipper 5K’ and reduced membership if you join the DK Running Club (UKA Affiliated) after the course.

The course is perfect for beginners and those returning to running after time out. We will teach you how to run, get and stay fit and provide practical advice and support to develop and improve. You will also notice significant improvements in your physical and mental fitness, health and well-being. The course is delivered and supported by experienced coaches and club runners who are happy to help and guide you.

Running is a fantastic way to improve your physical and mental health and well-being. Many of those who have completed our beginners programme are still running today for many reasons. Some run socially and to maintain a level of health and fitness. Others have gone on to run 10k, half marathon, full marathons and beyond… Whatever your goals are we can support you through our extensive team of experienced runners and coaches…

Running 5k is achievable for all who train with us and aside from getting you running you will feel healthier, stronger, less stressed and more confident. Come and give it go. It will be the best £35 you will ever spend…
