Screenwriter Mick Ford (‘The Boy with the Topknot’, ‘William and Mary’ and ‘Single Father’ with David Tennant) will discuss and explore where to start with screenwriting and how to structure, write and craft a compelling story.
Mick will also talk in more detail about his career as a screenwriter, and will share additional insight into the process of adapting Sathnam Sanghera’s memoir ‘The Boy with the Topknot’ into a BBC2 television production.
Please note: as part of the workshop Mick will invite participants to take part in some practical exercises around ‘The Boy with the Topknot’. Please familiarise yourself with the book or TV drama. Hosted by Andy Conway (novelist, screenwriter and lecturer at Birmingham City University).
