Article19 Presents: 'Tame', an adaptation of 'The Taming of the Shrew' by William Shakespeare.

A wealthy household in London with two daughters: one – butter wouldn’t melt, the other – always causing chaos. As Kat finds herself more distanced from her family, tensions start to fray. Suddenly one day Pete arrives and turns everything on its head.

In an alternative modern-day Britain, we see the murky underbelly of the capital in a world where strip clubs, forced marriages and psychological abuse are the norm.

This is a fast paced and uncompromising adaptation of Shakespeare’s problematic comedy, peeling back the surface of comedy to reveal the darker undertones of this play and what it says about the relationships between men and women.
